My InspirationsFor this project, I was very much inspired by surrealism and and a big influence was Salvador Dali, especially upon discovering his Alice in Wonderland inspired paintings, which are just phenomenal. As well as this I wanted to incorporate the psychedelic nature of his work along with the album artwork from Pink Floyd's album (The Wall).
I also decided I wanted my work to be centred around what is known as 'Alice in Wonderland syndrome'. Dysmetropsia (Alice in Wonderland Syndrome) is a disorienting neurological condition that affects a person's perception. People with the condition or experience the condition of have accounts of micropsia, macropsia, pelopsia, teleopsia, or size distortion of other sensory modalities. It is most often associated with things such migraines, brain tumors, and the use of psychoactive drugs. Some reports suggest that the symptoms are fairly common in childhood, and with many people growing out of them in their teens. It is also a common experience during the early stages of sleep and has been known to commonly known to start due to a persons lack of sleep. Dysmetropsia can also be caused by abnormal amounts of electrical activity which cause abnormal blood flow to the areas of the brain that process visual perception and texture. I also looked into how his work has inspired body painting into recreating his works surreal works of pure beauty onto the human body.

I then looked into the artwork of The Wall and how Pink Floyd has inspired many other artworks.
For the face I knew that I wanted to just dark out the eyes and create a dirty appearance and make the make up quite smudged and creepy and also quite demonic.
